Couldn't Resist

Walked into the boys school today to drop of the required beginning of a new school year stack of forms and was greeted by a tweeting, squeaking, squawking wall of unadopted-for-the-rest-of-the-summer pets. When I spied our beloved Orange Room guinea pigs, Frankie & Annette, I couldn't leave them there in the lonely lobby for the next two weeks. Besides, things had been going so well with Jemaine, the gerbil, that it was a delight thinking of adding two more squeaky critters to our house. When the cage wouldn't fit in my car, my friend, Shannon, who also happened to be dropping off school forms, plopped the cage in her vehicle, followed me to my house, and now we are the proud foster parents of not only Jemaine but also Frankie & Annette, our dear guinea pigs.

They are now happily munching away on sliced apples, diced carrots, and leaves of lettuce. Their enjoyment is conveyed through their purring and squeaky squeals which bring equally amused squeaky squeals from my boys.
