Outdoor Movie Night

We have been wanting to host a neighborhood outdoor movie night for years but seeing as how the technology tasks associated with this production would fall upon me (I'm convinced my twin brother grabbed all the technology genes when we were in the womb...he's an IT Network Anaylyst) the event has been repeatedly put on the back burner until either my husband stepped up and assumed all responsibility or I had some sort of technological epiphany.  Neither of those two things happened and there we were, five years later and still waiting.  Hoping my new Mac was as 'idiot-proof' as they claimed I grabbed the projector from worked and plugged it in.  Nothing.  I did a technology rain-dance.  Nothing.  I hit power.  Now we had something.  There was a giant picture but no sound.  After consulting with a friend who hosts outdoor movies I concluded all I needed was a speaker and an audio wire.  One large speaker and a few buttons later I now had sound and was confident about pulling off an outdoor movie.  We invited the neighbors over for an outdoor movie night.  The weather was beautiful, the ground was dry and the popcorn was hot as we sat on the lawn under the cool, darkened October sky and watched our movie with friends & neighbors.
