That is truer than true.
There is no one alive
Who is youer than you."

ANDREW
My little companion turned 4 this week. We celebrated the occasion with his friends at the pool. He is a pleasant buddy, eager to join in on an adventure whether it be as simple as watering flowers, riding bikes to the farmer's market or driving 9+ hours to visit with Gigi & Boppa. He gives it his all and although his little legs or patience can grow weary, he's proven time and again his commitment to make it through the trek. Sometimes a little incentive of lemonade or a cookie at the end of the adventure is required to finish together but nonetheless, the little man is a pleasant companion. Memories of our 365-day journey together from ages 3 to 4 incude:
Writing letters A-Z
Building LEGO ships
Learning to swim
Asking how to spell words & repeating the letters back to me
Ending statements with "You know dat?"
Enjoying all things Star Wars, esp. Darth Vader
"Wait for me!"
Disney on Ice & your first cotton candy
Disney on Ice & your first cotton candy
Riding a bike
Searching for hidden items in your "I Spy" books
Preschool studies: Fishing, Inside Your Body, Bread, Cats & Dogs
Fishing on the lake
Trip to the hospital to get your broken tooth repaired
Climbing to the top of Eagle Tower
Gentle hugs
Snowbogganing
Chewing gum
Cooking & baking in the kitchen-you especially love sprinkling spices
Watching our cooking show together (Giada)
"Reading" stories (memorizing the words on each page and reading it outloud at storytime)
Going to the library to pick out books (mostly Star Wars)
Walking to the playground & learning to stay on the sidewalks
Giving a hug, a kiss and an "I love you" at bedtime
..and tip-toeing into our room after lights out if they were not
I love you & Happy Birthday!
xoxo,
Mom
