A Quick, Kid-Friendly Pizza

On a rainy Sunday afternoon my kids were looking for a snack & something to do.  So combining their need for a snack, my love of cooking, and both parties (children & parent) in need of something for them to do we opted for making pizzas.  There are a dozen quick & easy pizza dough recipes out there but I appreciate the simplicity of pulling it out of my fridge and my kids love the "pop" when the container of dough booms open so we typically opt for store-bought dough.  Here's how we make our pizzas:

STEP 1: Assemble ingredients (sauce & cheese a must for the kids).  Using a pizza cutter, divide the dough so each person can have fun making their own personal pizza and to avoid any battles over toppings.

STEP 2: Follow cooking instructions for dough (we like to pre-bake ours to make it a little more crispy) then apply the sauce and the cheese.

STEP 3: Bake until cheese is melted & bubbly.

STEP 4: I like a little arugula on mine, just like Two Amy's Pizza in DC. Yum!

STEP 5: Enjoy!
