Unless

The Lorax has hit our house with all the force of a Super-Axe-Hacker.  Even before we watched the  movie, Brandon arrived home from school one day with this artwork I creatively titled "Truffula Trees & the Lorax" (they read the book in class).  Upon seeing the movie we were quick to check out the book from the library to relive the color, images, story and message which was, for those of you who haven't yet had the chance to see or read it, for all of us to take care of our earth.  My boys loved the movie and now the book.  Andrew has been flipping through the pages every night.  The first night we brought the book home he quietly flipped through the pages as I helped his brother prepare for bed.  When it was Andrew's turn for storytime he had had plenty of page-flipping of The Lorax to perhaps jar his memory of the movie (since he's three I wasn't sure how much he had retained).  As we flipped through the first couple of pages together he pointed to the little boy and said "That's the boy who cares a lot."

Melt.  My.  Heart.

"Yes, it is."

"UNLESS someone like you
cares a whole awful lot,
nothing is going to get better,
It's not."
 ~Dr. Seuss
