After the boys had a thorough teeth cleaning at the dentist, we opted to skip out on the last half of the school day and head down for a little early December holiday fun at National Harbor. The resort at National Harbor is host to a fantastic display of color, lights and ICE! Merry Madagascar! The indoor walk-through display of ice-carved delights was colder than any winter day I've experienced in our area. Fortunately they provide winter parkas, we also could have benefited from remembering to bring our scarves and gloves as their A/C was on full blast in the Arctic display. After a quick run through the Merry Madagascar! we ditched our parkas and traded them in for ice skates. A first-time experience for both Brandon and Andrew they managed quite well scooting along the rink wall, occasionally venturing out into the middle of the rink with some assistance. If you haven't been on skates in awhile I encourage you to do so - it's guaranteed to make you feel like a kid again!
